    The system-integrated modular advanced reactor, SMART, is one of the SMRs developed by the Korea Atomic
    Energy Research Institute (KAERI). An integral test loop, SMART-ITL, was also constructed to carry out several
    types of integral thermal-hydraulic effect tests for the prototype reactor. One of passive safety systems in the
    SMART, passive safety injection system (PSIS) was designed to refill the coolant in the reactor coolant system
    (RCS) for 72 hrs after an accident. The PSIS consists of 4 trains of CMTs, and safety injection tanks (SITs).
    There is also an automatic depressurization system (ADS). The small break loss-of-coolant accident (SBLOCA) on
    the passive safety injection line is a significant design basis accident (DBA) which should be validated. The
    difference in mass and energy loss of the RCS will have a significant impact on the operation of the ADS. The
    ADS is opened when the CMT level reaches the design value.
