    The present study numerically investigates the effect of electron-phonon coupling on nonequilibrium
    energy transport in thin gold films irradiated by femtosecond pulse lasers with low and high laser fluences.
    For accurate modeling of the electron-phonon energy transport phenomena, we compare numerical results
    estimated by different models (i.e. constant model, Kaganov's model, Chen's model, and Lin's model). The
    well-established two-temperature model was also adopted for calculation, and we used the quantum approach
    to appropriately determine various properties such as electron heat capacity, electron thermal conductivity,
    collision frequencies, reflectivity, and absorption rate. Numerically, the finite difference method was applied
    with the use of fully implicit scheme. As a result, it was found that all models did not show much difference
    among them at low fluence, whereas as the fluence increased, Lin’s model would be better physically in
    predicting energy relaxation time and equilibration time between electron and phonon temperatures, compared
    to other models.
