NOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) is a new surgical technique offering ‘scarless’ operations and faster recovery. Among various NOTES devices, stitching devices were most actively developed. However, most of the devices were not successful enough to be applied to human trials. The aim of this study is to compare our device with other closure devices, and to evaluate our device. We measured the air burst pressure. The incision was always same spot called pyloric antrum, and the same length, 18mm, by CRE-balloon. The stomachs were drawn in a transparent water tank and the air leakage pressure was measured when the air came out by naked eye. Stomachs were extracted and used on the day. Air burst pressures were various in literatures. In our experiments, the air burst pressures were about 60 mm Hg. Any instruments cannot be applied to human body yet. However, our machine relatively made stable air leak pressure results, and the procedure is simple.
