|초록||A 11L DI diesel engine was converted to a spark ignited CNG engine with PFI(port fuel injection) system. To apply various experimental variables (such as compression) ratio, ignition and injection control) to engine more conveniently, six-cylinders engine was converted to a single cylinder experimental engine.
In this study, the effects of ignition timing, air fuel ratio and injection timing on the
combustion and emission characteristics were investigated. We analyzed the combustion
characteristics of the engine by analysis of the cylinder pressure (such as IMEP,
ignition delay, combustion duration, cyclic variation). Especially in the results of present
study, the effect of injection timing on the combustion in lean regions is remarkable. It
was found that intake-synchronous injection results in favorable combustion.
