초록 | CO₂ emission from burning fossil fuels has been identified as the major contributor to the increase in atmospheric CO₂ levels that can potentially lead to global climate change. In the last decade, there has been worldwide concern on possible global warming caused by heat being trapped by CO₂ in the upper atmosphere (the green-house effect). Allover the world, there is a growing tendency to exploit clean energy as well as to control fossil fuels for the sake of diminishing the gases that cause the greenhouse effect. However, to satisfy the regulations that have become strengthened for the gas reduction, it is necessary to sequestrate as well as to capture and collect carbon dioxide. In general, storage sites for carbon dioxide can be divided into two categories: geological sites and deep ocean. In this paper, sequestration methods in geological strata will be discussed. |
