ABSTRACT |
Numerical simulations of a hypersonic flow with high temperature effect were carried out. Park's two temperature model and a seven species and eighteen finite rate chemical reactions model were used in order to take account of thermally and chemically nonequilibrium effects. AUSMDV scheme was applied for convective terms. An efficient numerical algorithm, LU-SGS scheme and a point implicit method for source terms were used for time integration. Numerical results of an axis-symmetric flow around a semi-sphere are presented and compared with experimental data. A grid convergency check is also performed. Results indicate that the flow behind the shock tends strongly toward a non-equilibrium flow. |
