    ABSTRACT Detailed velocity and temperature profile data at the exit plane of a high pressure gas turbine tubular combustor were obtained at atmospheric conditions. Such data are very requisite for designing a high performance turbine, but there is no data presently available that takes into account the combustor characteristics. Measurements were made under atmospheric conditions but were adjusted to have the same Mach number at the exit plane as under design conditions, which were a pressure of 55 atm and a temperature of 1600K. The resultant temperature profiles were compared with those data obtained in the high pressure combustion test.
