ABSTRACT	The replacement process is described for the high pressure air storage vessel attached to the 2m×2m Transonic Wind Tunnel of the National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL). The oldest two of three existing 10m diameter vessel were dismantled and replaced by a new 13m diameter vessel, thereby preserving the total capacity. Both the operational and maintenance histories of the old vessel are discussed, as well as the desing construction features included in the new one, its initial test results, and the important issues related to future system operations
