ABSTRACT |
In this paper, some methods of heat transfer measurement used in hypersonic wind tunnels are briefly summarized and the characteristics of a new rapid injection system to improve the accuracy of aerodynamic heating rate measurement in test models are also described. Experimental studies using this system for six sphere-cone models were conducted at a Mach number of 7.1 in the 50 cm NAL hypersonic wind tunnel. Test results showed that this system was able to improve the accuracy of aerodynamic heating rate measurement in comparison with the existing system. |
