ABSTRACT |
A Pilot heating equipment, using high-frequency electromagnetic induction, was developed as an experimental tool for studying the thermomechanical behavior of aerospace structures unding is first briefly given, then the configuration and the basic design specification of the induction heating equipment are described. The temperature measuring system used in the tests is also explained, and the method for measuring temperatures of the specimen in an electromagnetic field resulting from the induced current, using thermocouples, is described. Finally, the performance tests are discussed in detail together with the results of measurement. |
