ABSTRACT	A preliminary system to investigate the approach and landing of model aircraft in a wind tunnel was constructed. The system used the existing robot sting support and robot control apparatus. Aerodynamic forces and moments on model aircraft were measured with a balance on the robot sting support and processed with the existing data processor. A new program named“LandSim”, which performs flight simulation calculations was written and installed in a personal computer. The functions and behavior of each apparatus and the overall system were tested. Items reguiring improvement were identified to allow practical use of this kind of sy
