ABSTRACT	The local area network of the National Aerospace Laboratory, originally constructed for mainframe computer users, has been improved and extended into a ?igh-speed network system?for NAL, and is also used as a core information infrastructure for processing data. In addition, a new Numerical Simulator system (NS-system) is to be installed in 2002, so further improvements to network capabilities are necessary to ensure the whole system is utilized effectively. In this report, we show a network upgrade carried out by the CFD Technology Center in 2001.
